Kinos character is changing quite a bit. After he claimed the Pearl, he seemed to slowly transform from peace to more angry. Money can drive people to do crazy things, not only to get it, but to keep it. For example, people eat really hot peppers, or gross cockroaches for money. For The quote on page 53, I think it means that the Pearl is taking over his life. "... It called him and threatened him and challenged him." (Pg. 55) this show that he is thinking and revolving his whole life, and risking everything for this Pearl. What's the most valuable thing you've ever had?

Kino has been changing throughout the story. From a nice guy who has tried to help out his child who got poisoned to a person who is violent greedy and angry. He has made a big change and it's not a good one. He knows he's done wrong, but at first he just wanted to help Coyotitio but now money and the Pearl has made him a greedy person. Money can defiently change people. People are never really satisfied with what they have and aren't great fun for what they DO have. On page 50 it said "Kino's face grew dark and dangerous. "It is worth fifty thousand," he said. "You know it. You want to cheat me." " This just shows how angry he has gotten over this Pearl and how greedy he is being. If you were Kino what would you do with the Pearl.

i agree because he wanted more than just education from the pearl. He wanted guns, power, a wedding in the church and he became greedy and wanted riches, but the greed of others was also great, because people we're willing to steal the pearl.

I agree with you tim but people did not just want to seal the pearl. They wanted to become his friend all because of the pearl. If he would have never had the pearl I think people wouldn't even say hi to Him.
i agree

Kino's traits have changed throughout the book. Kino changed in his amount of greed. In the begging kino carried about his family and for his family. He did this more than when he got the pearl. The peril made him want more money and he was fantasizing about education, guns, expensive wedings and power. He eventually killed people to get the pearl back. That's how he changed.

Kino's character and values are changing because of the pearl by tearing apart his family. "He heard the rush, got his knife out and lunged at one dark figure and felt his knife go home, and then he was swept to his knees and swept again to the ground."(59) in the story kino's character is changing, he had killed a man for no reason, and had beat up Juana, which are jot part of his values. "Her arm was up to throw when he leaped at her and caught her arm and wrenched the pearl from her. He struck her in the face with his clenched fist and she fell among the boulders, and he kikpcked her in the side."(59). Money and posessions change people because it makes them think higher of themselves than they really are, it also makes them more greedy than they were before they had all their money. "i can give you say a thousand pesos." Kinos face grew dark and dangerous. "It is worth fifty thousand," he said. "You know it. You want to cheat me." have you ever been greedy towards someone or something?

Kino changed to greed when he found the pearl because when Juana was going to through the pearl into the sea Kino chased her and beat her to save the pearl. This shows that he is so set on getting to help the village while he is doing so he is hurting people on the way and not even noticing or giving sign of remorse.

kino is changing a lot ever since he found that pearl he wants to buy his family things but he is all so getting bad friends like the doctor didn't want anything to do with kino but then when kino found that pearl the doctor wanted to be his friend. Money can bring bad friends that only want to be your friend because you have money

kino has changed through out the story, he was a good father and nice. After he got the pearl he's greedy, angry and even violence. This change of his is bad. Money can change people in many ways good or bad and in this situation money has changed him in a bad way. Evidence I found In the book is " kinos face grew dark and dangerous." On page 50. By this evidence I think This pearel is changing his life. Has anything made you change and what?

Kino wasn't really greedy in the beginning of the book when he found the pearl, but now he is worried about the amount of money that he is going to sell the pearl for

I think Kino changed a lot throughout the story. At the beginning of the story Kino was more selfless. But when he found the pearl, he stated to get greedy. He stated saying that he was going to get a lot of stuff. I think that the pearl ended up changing Kino because he ended up killing a man and hitting his wife, something that he would have never done.

I think Kino has changed through the book a lot. In the beginning he was very caring of his son but towards the end he started getting really greedy and instead of caring he began to be careless, as long as he had the pearl still he was willing to go as far as killing someone. I think money changes people for the worst. But, the lottery article that we read shows that the statement it's always true but also it's not always wrong either.

kino in the beginning of the book was a nice, hard working man but after he found the pearl he was starting to be greedy and abusive and mean for example, kino hit his wife for wanting to sell the pearl, also he killed a man for trying to take a pearl. In my opinion money and possessions can make some people greedy and mean because they think that they are better than everyone because they have those things

The Pearl has changed Kino a lot since the beginning of the story. In the beginning he cared just about protecting his family. On page 43 Kino hit Juana "Then Kino hit Juana in the face with her hand. Juana fell on the stones and Kino kicked her as she lay on the ground." He hit Juana because she tried throwing the Pearl into the sea because she said it was bad luck. "'The pearl is bad!' She cried. 'It will destroy us. Throw it away Kino! Let's break the pearl with a big stone. Let's put the pearl in the ground. Let's throw the pearl back into the sea!'" (28) Since the beginning Juana had thought that the pearl was bringing them bad luck, but Kino didn't listen.

redo; kino was a hard worker, and non- greedy, but now since he found a Pearl and he bears that the Pearl Might be a lot of money and he finds out that the Pearl really isn't worth a lot of money and the buyers told him that the Pearl was a fake and kino got mad and didn't sell the Pearl "I can give you, say, a thousand pesos, Kino's face grew dark and dangerous, it is worth fifty thousand he said, you know it, You want to cheat me."(50) This shows how kino reacted when he found out that his Pearl wasn't worth the amount of money that he wanted it to be.

i think when people have more money, depending on who it is, they feel like they might have more power than those who don't have as much. For kino it was like he thought many things were good enough for him, for example when the tried to sell the pearl the first time he said no because it was not a high enough price for him. And sometimes people don't realize what they have in life because money gets in the way.
