Kino's value and character are changing a lot now because now he's always looking over his shoulder and doesn't trust nobody he also thinks that the pearl is supposedly worth a lot of money so his value for The pearl is through the roof!!! Also I think money and possessions can change you because look at Kino now that he has found the pearl he thinks everyone wants to steal it and kill him he's even murdered someone. Even though he doesn't have money I think that the value that Kino thinks the Pearl is worth is changing him and making him more greedy.

Kinos values are by the pearl fault the pearl has made kino more concentrated on the pearl than the dangers that come with it. For example "it was shadowy and dreadful, and yet it called to him and threatend him and challenged him. His right hand went into his shirt and felt his knife"(55). This tell me that kino is more focued on the pearl that his own life because after that part he is attacked by a stranger and hit in the head by a large rock. Money changes people in many diffrent but bad ways like a person that has little money is kind but give him/her a lot of money and the kind person you knew will dissapear and will never be seen again but instead a greedy, selfish person will appear and will not be to anybodys likeing.

Kinos change in character has been quick and drastic. I believe he's going to continue aiming for goals like gettings better clothes and getting Coyotito a education but the greed of others is tearing him apart. People have tried to steal the Pearl and attack Kino upon multiple occurrences. These problems have led to Kinos home being ransacked and burned to the ground, Kino killing another person, and the breaking of his boat. This led to Kinos obsession of keeping the Pearl until a very valuable price is offered at his home town or the faraway capital. It's like finding 100 dollars and having people ask for it again and again and you can't find anything to do with it but in Kinos case it a lot worse than that. Would a valuable possession change you?

kino has changed since he has had the pearl because supposebly it has so much value that he thinks everyone is trying to steal it and take it away from him, he even murdered someone for it. Money and possessions can change people because they think there better then everyone if they have and they think everyone wants it.

kino is defiantly changing. He has to look everywhere before he makes a move. The pearl isn't just changing the way he acks towards the pearl but how he's treating people because he has the pearl. I think money will change you drastically because of what is going on in this book. We don't know if he's going to spend it on educatioor something smart like that)

Kino is changing very much with the great pearl they found, some emotional ways and some greedy ways and here is an example of an emotional one "Long after Juan Tomás had gone Kino sat brooding on his sleeping mat. A lethargy had settled on him, And a little grey hopelessness" (Pg.55) It almost seems that the pearl has taken control of Kino physicaly and emotionally! What do you think Kino will do with the pearl?

Kino's character and values are changing a lot through out the book. ""No one has ever seen such a pearl." "On the contrary," said the dealer, "it is large and clumsy. As a curiosity it has interest; some museum might perhaps take it to place in a collection of seashells. I can give you, say, a thousand pesos." Kino's face grew dark and dangerous, "it is worth fifty thousand," he said. "You know it. You want to cheat me." In the beginning Kino was a totally family man, but while he still is a family man he seems to have his mind set on the pearl. I think the pearl is changing his character because he wants the pearl to be worth more than what the dealers think that it is.

chapter 4-5 post
I think Kino's values and character has changed so much! I think the pearl has brought evil to his life! Junna really notices how much this pearl has changed Kino for the worst! Kino begins to dream about all the things he can buy with the pearl. He gets so consumed with the pearl that its destroying his family! Here is my evidence for the pearl being bad! “ This thing is evil throw it away kino it will destroy us, Kino let us break it between the rocks let us through it back into the ocean page(38)! Junna really know that the pearl was making Kino into a selfish man full of greed and evil! one page (59) kino was full of rage and evil when junna tried to throw back the pearl!! “her arm and wrenched the pearl from her. He struck her in the face with his clenched fist and she fell among the boulders and he kicked her in the side”! Kino was full of rage over a stupid pearl and the money it could bring that he beat up his wife! The money the he could get for the pearl consumed his life and the greed and evil made him do stuff he probably never would have done. whats the greed or evil in your life? Is this evil or greed worth the pain it may cause you or your loved ones? will the evil or greed in your life destroy you?

Kinos character and values changed a lot. He doesn't trust no one he only cares about the pearl. I think money and possessions do change people because kino thinks everyone is trying to steal the pearl from from him and the results of that he ended up murdering someone just for the pearl.

Kino is changing a lot but so is the other people of La Paz. Kino has to watch where ever he goes because he feels like he's in danger. He is getting obsessed with this pearl and all the money that he thinks he's gonna get that he actually hurt his wife when she tried to save their family and throw the pearl back into the ocean. Money changes people, really no matter who you are, Someone literally tried to kill kino just for the pearl knowing he has family. From learning how money can change you in this book, would you want to have all the money in the world or no, and explain.

Kino is changing because of what he did to a man and how he has to leave because of it. His boat broke his house burnt down and he killed a man all because of a pearl. Money and possessions do change people but it just depends on who and how you handle it. How would you handle it?

Kinos character is changing I'm ways more than one. One way is... He is now realizing that the Pearl is changing him and turning him evil, and he does want to change that. I believes that. His would is with the pearl and that. If he sells the Pearl his should we be gone as well. I believe that money although can help people in bad times, but also it can make people greedy and not appreciate the reward that they have received when they were in bad times.
