I think that in the second chapter of The Pearl the author is trying to say that you must work hard to receive your winnings. I think this because of what Kino had to go in order to get the Pearl for Coyotitio, to pay the Doctor to help heal the scorpion sting. I also think that this chapter shows how important the Pearl is. Because of the way that Kino responded to finding the Pearl in the oyster. What is one thing that you had to work hard for?

The text relates to the theme because when something bad happens
usually you learn or gain something valuable like in the book the baby
gets poisoned and some time afterwards they find a big pearl and you can relate this directly to real life like and for example you change to diesel and your car doesn't drive as far as it was on the previous gas and thus you learn something valuable. Do you think you can learn something valuable.

I think the author is trying to explain how chances might react in your everyday life. When Juanna wished to find a pearl instead of wishing her baby would heal, she was being smart and actually thinking about how the fortune of the pearl can get the baby a doctor. What is one thing you thought about in a book that made you think they were making a thoughtful wish?

It like says that you have to work for the things you want or even need. It doesn't only represent the book, you have to work for things in real life too.

I agree with what you are saying, that is kinda what I put because everything you get in life you work for it in some what and if you don't, then you don't deserve it.

I think that in the 2 chapter of the pearl it is trying to say that working hard gets you what you want is life.some evidence that proves this is that kino has to work hard in the ocean to find the clams. After a while he finds the clam where the pearl is.but I mostly think that the clam was trying to keep the pearl out of anybody's hand.maybe it was trying to protect kino from something?

The second chapter is all about Kino and Juana finding the Pearl.

I think in chapter two they are trying to show that with effort comes reward. The book shows this by Kino putting all his effort into trying to help his son and in the end he was rewarded with a pearl that is worth thousands of dollars. Do you think that's what the book was trying to show???

I think that the text hints that it is a theme because it is saying that even though you may have mistakes doesn't mean you are actually defined from those mistakes. This relates to our life because some people may have had mistakes in their past but it doesn't mean they are actually defined by them. Like if you make a mistake on a math test, doesn't mean that you are stupid.

Chapter two
The qoute is saying that in life accidents are going to happen! That you have to take the good with the bad!! In the pearl Coyotito is stung by scorpion that's the bad in life! In life bad things happen to our loved ones! But also in the pearl good happens. Kino finds the pearl that's the good in life! In life good things happen to us as well like when a loved one has be sick buts gets better!! So I think the theme is no matter what happens in life you have to take the good with the bad.
What's the good in your life?

The sentence says that when something bad happens you should make the most of it. Like with the pearl if it has an irratating thing inside of it it makes a coat of it and makes a beautiful pearl. Like if you get to class late you shouldnt get mad at youreself you should think next class im going to be extra early. What does this sentence mean to you?!

i think this chapter is trying to show that if you put effort into something good things happen. Because kino put all his effort into helping his son and then he gets awarded with a thousand $ pearl.

I think the theme of this story is make the best out of whatever you get, like when the pearl gets irritated it makes a beautiful pearl for the people. When you make a bad play in a sport you get up and do better the next play.

The sentence means that you can almost always get something good out of something bad. Like if erase everything on your computer, Its bad when you do that. But you can start over and get the programs you actually need and get rid of the old programs you don't need. Which is helpful.
